I have a 46 Pro Thunder Tiger ( i believe, i bought at a swap meet.)

It runs a bit but sputters and stalls. I put a new plug in it and I git it to run and idle a little. First question is what should the needle valve be set at? Why does it smoke a lot? I've tried lean, rich and most in between.

It seems to run terrible. At full throttle it will barely run and stall sometimes. I thought it was an air leak but I put a new muffler on it from another engine and now it has a tight seal.

Please help.

I think I may hear a leak. I'll try calling. Do I need parts to repair eithe rof these leaks or is it tightining of the screws only?

I know what normal fuel smoke looks like and i think i smoked out the neighborhood yesterday.

How many turns do I need for the needle too?

Is there an online manual for this engine too? Possibly an exploded view of it?

Hi Easyflier,

Here is the link to what you are looking for. Just remember that your engine will smoke from the exhaust since it is a two stroke and burns a small amount of oil. Another thing to consider is that when you are setting the needle valves, there should always be a small gap between the low end needle and the spraybar at full throttle. Of course never try to get a look at the needles while the engine is running.

Hope that helps.

Gabe
